Foundry sand is clean, uniformly sized and utilizes high-quality silica sand. The sand is bonded to form moulds or patterns used for ferrous (iron and steel) and non-ferrous (copper, aluminium, brass) metal castings. Shake-out sand from completed metal casting is often reclaimed back into the foundry sand process.

We deliver sand preparation plants for both conventional moulding lines and Hi-Pressure moulding lines. All these are custom-built based on casting requirements and availability of space. Megatherm provides green sand preparation with an efficient return sand cooling system shake-out arrangement.
